78th Independence Day was celebrated at JSS SMEMS, Vidyagiri, Dharwad with great Joy and reverence. Flag hoisting was carried out by our Secretary Dr. Ajith Prasad in the JSS ground. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of patriotism with their song, speeches and board decoration. Few children from primary section came dressed up as Kittur Rani Chennamma, Jhansi Rani, Nittur Shrinivas, Armed Officers, our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar.
JSS SMEMS Vidyagiri, Dharwad took the Runners-up position at R.N Shetty stadium on 15th August 2024. The school performed the life of Mundaragi Bhimraya freedom fighter from Dharwad district. Students from classes 7th and 8th performed. Noteworthy is that these children were in competition with students from PUC and managed to garner maximum public praise for their performance amongst the spectators. It was a matter of pride to see these children performing with such confidence.
