The Makara Sankranti festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm at JSS SMEMS Vidyagiri, Dharwad on January 13th. The event commenced with a captivating folk song performance by higher primary students, followed by an informative speech about the significance of the festival.
Adding a touch of cultural diversity, students from the primary section came dressed up in traditional attire from various states, showcasing how Makara Sankranti is celebrated under different names across India. The celebration was a wonderful blend of music, knowledge and cultural exchange.
