“Nurture Nature, Nurture Life”
On 05-o6-2025, JSS Shri Manjunatheshwar English Medium School, Vidyagiri, Dharwad, celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet and promoting sustainable practices.
Activities:
- Students creatively prepared paper bags, showcasing innovative designs and ideas, to emphasize the harmful effects of single-use plastic bags and promote eco-friendly alternatives like paper and cloth bags.
- Students brought hanging pots made with coconut shells.
- Students participated in role-plays, portraying characters such as:
- Plastic Man
- Banana Tree
- Bird
- Cloth Man
- Students created informative charts on:
- Water conservation and earth protection
- Waste management (segregation of dry waste, wet waste, and hazardous waste)
- High school students gave captivating speech on saving environment and harmful effects of plastic bag usage.
By celebrating World Environment Day, our school made a positive impact on the environment and inspired others to do the same.
